Could I have canker sours on tongue?

Every few months I get one of what looks like swollen taste buds but always in the same place. My dad says they are like canker sours but on my tongue. Usually on the tip of my tongue. They hurt and I feel like I want to bite them off especially when Im playing my clarinet. they are whitish and smaller than canker sours. This time I have about three one where I bit my tongue the other day. They usually come when Im stressed out more. Could these be small canker sours on my tongue?
