I really sympathise with you. I think you need different people looking into your case. There is so much you hear about bad social workers etc. I think you should go back to your solicitor or demand another care worker. Your ex doesn't seem very reliable at all and you must get this through to someone who can help. Stress the fact there are too many baby Ps and we don't want them to be responsible for any more.
